Sisterhood
The Sisterhood of Temple Adath Yeshurun has a long history of working with the Temple to strengthen and enhance our congregational life. With our programming, we reflect who we are as women of Reform Judaism and strive to present issues that are of particular importance to women.With your help we will continue to grow and evolve, striving to make Temple Adath Yeshurun a place where we come together in friendship to worship and to learn.
Enhance Worship
We enhance worship at Temple Adath Yeshurun, such as decorating the Bima and organizing babysitting during High Holidays, hosting onegs following Shabbat services, holding an annual Passover Seder, and sponsoring a Sisterhood Shabbat.
Judaica Shop
We organize the Judaica and Chanukah Shop, open year-round, to offer cards, gift items and crafts made by local Jewish artisans.
Financial Support
We provide financial support to the Temple through a direct contribution to the operating budget plus special projects.
Programming
We develop programming for our members and the congregation, including “Breakfast with the Rabbi” conversations and book discussions.
Interfaith Programming
We participate in “Women of Faith,” an interfaith group for women provides programs to share religious beliefs, culture and traditions and develop understanding and friendship.
